Slow Down Visit Wasaga Beach

It's very true than you can "Visit Canada and Meet the World". (200+ nationalities living happily, respectfully and peacefully together) and it's also true that you can visit the world's longest freshwater beach and experience a completely laid-back, chilled-out, PEACE LOVE CREATE ART Boho-Hippie vibe - in a small town that is clean, safe and welcoming.  A nice balance between must-see Canadian travel/tourist destination and relaxed living. Come visit me in Wasaga Beach!  Canada!

When I think about this place I call home these ideas come to mind:

Slow Down
Traditional daily sunset strolls on the beach
Plenty to see
Plenty to do
Famous food
A place for quiet meditation (if you need or want) - often it feels like you own a private beach!
Healing
A quick drive from Toronto Airports
Close to the big city, but far enough away.
Artist Colony happening....
Flat bicycle perfection! No huffing or puffing here!
Low-key and rejuvenating

I published a book about Wasaga Beach. Enjoy!

Melt Holes (Cryoconite Holes) Beautiful Warnings

Melt Holes are common (yet mostly unknown)
in glaciers, sea ice and lake ice worldwide
in the Arctic and Antarctica. Beautiful warnings?

I have created 10 NEW 'Melt Holes'
fine art prints.

Cryoconite is powdery windblown dust made of a combination of small rock particles, soot and microbes which is deposited and builds up on snowglaciers, or icecaps. The darkening, especially from small amounts of soot, absorbs solar radiation melting the snow or ice beneath the deposit, and sometimes creating a cryoconite hole. Cryoconite may contain dust from far away continental deserts or farmland, particles from volcanic eruptions or power plant emissions, and soot. It was first described and named by Nils A. E. Nordenskiƶld when he traveled on Greenland's icecap in 1870. During summer, cryoconite holes frequently contain liquid water and thus provide a niche for cold-adapted microorganisms like bacteria and algae to thrive.
Soot decreases the reflectivity, or albedo of ice, increasing absorption of heat. Cryoconite is constantly being added to snow and ice formations along with snow. It is buried within the snow or ice, but as the snow or ice melts increasing amounts of dark material is exposed on the surface, accelerating melting.

For Women Who Are Difficult To Love

“you are a horse running alone
and he tries to tame you
compares you to an impossible highway
to a burning house
says you are blinding him
that he could never leave you
forget you
want anything but you
you dizzy him, you are unbearable
every woman before or after you
is doused in your name
you fill his mouth
his teeth ache with memory of taste
his body just a long shadow seeking yours
but you are always too intense
frightening in the way you want him
unashamed and sacrificial
he tells you that no man can live up to the one who
lives in your head
and you tried to change didn’t you?
closed your mouth more
tried to be softer
prettier
less volatile, less awake
but even when sleeping you could feel
him traveling away from you in his dreams
so what did you want to do love
split his head open?
you can’t make homes out of human beings
someone should have already told you that
and if he wants to leave
then let him leave
you are terrifying
and strange and beautiful
something not everyone knows how to love.”

Apple Orchard Fine Art Photographic Prints

I am happy with how these photographs turned out.
I tried to give them a nostalgic feel
As though you are lucky enough to visit a  faraway, vast rolling farm
Eating apple pie with fresh churned vanilla ice cream
Sipping strong coffee or black tea, white
Standing at the old wooden screen door
Looking out onto the glorious apple orchard acres

Hope you love them too.

Chance Favors Those In Motion

Just wanted to say 'hello' to you today
Letting you know I'm feeling better now that it is June
May was hard. I wasn't too healthy. Just a 'bug'.

I've had a lot of time to think.
I watched many videos over the last 30 days.
My favorite was this one. (see below)

I learned this from Zoe Pawlak.

"Chance favors those in motion." - James H. Austin

She explained it....

"...and what it means to me is that the more you're
doing the things that you're excited about,
the more you're going to be called to positions of influence
and get to do more of what you love." - Zoe Pawlak

Keep doing the things you're excited about
Keep doing the things you're excited about!

(For those who may be disappointed that I don't want to
do certain things...it's because I'm not excited about it.)

Love You!

P.S. My shops are open!
